Corinth, MS Homes for Sale & Real Estate

Corinth is home for us. The Franklin Agency is a locally owned real estate brokerage on East Shiloh Road, and we help families, first-time buyers, investors and retirees buy and sell across Alcorn County. If you’re thinking about a move to Corinth, whether across town or across the country, this page covers what you’ll want to know: where people live, how the schools are organized, how people spend their weekends, and how to see homes for sale in one place.

Corinth is the county seat of Alcorn County and sits right on the Tennessee state line. U.S. 45 and U.S. 72 cross here, so it’s an easy drive to Booneville and Tupelo to the south, Selmer and Shiloh to the north, and Burnsville, Iuka and Pickwick Lake to the east. The town grew up where two railroads crossed in the 1850s, which is why it’s still called the “Crossroads of the South.” About 14,600 people live in the city (2020 Census), and many more live in the rural communities around it.

Neighborhoods & Areas Buyers Ask About

  • Downtown and Midtown Corinth: Historic homes, craftsman cottages and walkable streets near local restaurants, shops and the Coliseum Theatre. The Downtown Corinth and Midtown Corinth historic districts are both on the National Register of Historic Places.
  • Established in-town subdivisions: Brick ranches and two-story homes on quiet streets close to schools, Magnolia Regional Health Center and the Shiloh Road and Harper Road shopping areas.
  • Kossuth, Biggersville, Alcorn Central and Farmington areas: Buyers here often want a few acres, a shop or a pasture while staying a short drive from town.
  • Land and acreage: Alcorn County regularly has wooded tracts, building lots and hunting land for sale. If you want to build, we’ll walk you through septic, road frontage and utility questions before you make an offer.

Schools

Corinth families are served by two public school districts. The Corinth School District covers most of the city, with Corinth Elementary, Corinth Middle and Corinth High School. The Alcorn School District serves the county communities, including the Alcorn Central, Biggersville and Kossuth schools. District lines don’t always follow city limits, so we confirm school zoning for a specific address before you buy.

Things to Do in Corinth

  • Civil War history: The Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center is part of Shiloh National Military Park, and admission is free. Battery Robinett and Corinth National Cemetery are in town, and the Shiloh battlefield is a short drive north.
  • Crossroads Museum: Housed in the historic Corinth depot, it tells the story of the railroads, the Civil War and the town.
  • Slugburgers: Stop at Borroum’s Drug Store, known as Mississippi’s oldest continuously operating drug store and soda fountain. Each summer the Slugburger Festival brings live music, a carnival and a car show downtown.
  • Easy getaways: Pickwick Lake, J.P. Coleman State Park and Tishomingo State Park are all within about an hour.

Getting Around

Roscoe Turner Airport handles general aviation just outside town. For commercial flights, Tupelo Regional Airport is roughly an hour south and Memphis International Airport is about 90 miles west. Magnolia Regional Health Center is the area’s main hospital.

Selling a Home in Corinth?

Pricing a home in Corinth takes local knowledge. A brick ranch in town, a farmhouse on ten acres in Kossuth and a historic home in Midtown each sell to different buyers. We’ll prepare a free market analysis using recent Alcorn County sales, then market your home with professional photos and the MLS. Looking for office or retail space instead?
